Muvizu Halloween Contest 2016 Entries Maybe the wall is not such a bad idea, especially for trick-or-treating little kids who are told on any other night to stay away from strangers, and do not go up to their cars or houses.

Really? You are kidding, right?

Muvizu Halloween Contest 2016 Entries This competition will be judged by the Muvizu community, and I imagine many of us regulars will give feedback on what went well and what could be improved.

Hello MrDrWho13.

By the Muvizu community you meant all people like you and I? or Muvizu staff...

Seems this is a 2 parter.... The easiest thing for me would be to make the letters in photoshop
with a transparent background in PNG and put them in a backdrop in Muvizu,
That's What I would do, because I dont know how to make 3d models neither..depending on how you want to use them

I thought there might be some chance I could have an entry, but maybe next year. I have enjoyed the entries I have viewed so far though so thanks for hosting the contest.

Saludos

TRANSPARENT TEXTURES Also remember the characters wont move with the car anyhow so if your putting a character in the car it needs to be stationary anyhow.

you can't animate a group so the solution is to animate the scene around the car and leave the car stationary.

or

your can alter the model you will need to put the windows on one material layer and the other parts on another material layer so that you can add a transparent texture to the windows without affecting the rest of the car

...but you said this was too complicated so the solution is as ziggy explained and then you will need to learn to animate the scene around the car and I believe there is an instructional video created and I think it was ziggy who made it. Basically animate the road texture, animate the sceneries and leave the car stationary.

Yes, I know how to animate the scene around the car, I just wanted to know if there is a way to attach the windows to the car, even if you use material layers you need to have the windows separated from the car in sketchup before, and I already made the windows transparent...so I did it, I have my first car with transparent windows, as soonest I finished 2 or 3 more muscle cars I will try to put them in the store as free asset.

Thank you Urbanlamb

I just have an idea, I will try with keyframe....I will let you know if it works

If the vehicle has windows already, save them from sketchup as a separate file (without the vehicle). When you import the vehicle windows into Muvizu, set the Alpha drop down box to Opacity. Position them into place, and then give them a semi transparent texture (like a PNG file).

Ziggy, please help, I made the windows transparent doing what you told me, but I don't know how to put it back in the car, I group them, but you can not animate a group....can you?

3D Coat Tutorial for noobs (for Muvizu) Ziggy, thanks for the tutorial, I will go for the very very noobie tutorials first, but I have some questions...

What is the version I have to download?
Do I also need to install a plugin?
What is the format when exporting the model, ASE?

Thanks you in advance

Tonyob67, this was great to watch. I have a short attention span lately but it was easy to sit through this video. I agree with Pat's comments about the scenes, characters, and cars. I loved the subtitles. I might share this with our school Spanish teacher who I share an office with. I think he would like it.

Everything in this video shows a lot of improvement, and the fact that you are using cubes, other props, and Sketch up is very interesting. Maybe this summer I can get into learning Sketch up. You spent a lot of time on details and it made the video very enjoyable and high quality.

Good luck in the contest.

Thank you Rocque... Are you workng on your entry?
