Muvizu on Mac - 32 or 64bit - help needed! Hi again.

My opinion was that the speed is about the same. When I consulted one of the Muvizu boffins, they confirmed this, but you get access to more memory on the 64bit so go with that one, if you can.

Hope that helps!

Muvizu on Mac - 32 or 64bit - help needed! Good Morning Mutley!

I've tried Muvizu via Mac Bootcamp with Windows 7 and it works a treat! It should work fine with XP too but I can't personally recommend it.

If you haven't already seen it, here's a wee tutorial:

All the best!

Resources Ciao a tutti!

I thought you lovely Muvizu users might be interested in a new source of free music.

Moby has generously donated his Music, on a gratis section of his site:

"hi,
i'll keep this brief.
this portion of moby.com, 'film music', is for independent and non-profit filmmakers, film students, and anyone in need of free music for their independent, non-profit film, video, or short.
to use the site you log in(or on?) and are then given a password.
you can then listen to the available music and download whatever you want to use in your film or video or short.
the music is free as long as it's being used in a non-commercial or non-profit film, video, or short.
if you want to use it in a commercial film or short then you can apply for an easy license, with any money that's generated being given to the humane society.
i hope that you find what you're looking for,
moby"

I've signed up and had a rummage through what's available, it's all of very good quality, even if you are not a fan of Moby, there will be something there that you could use.

So if you're looking for a soundtrack to your animation, have a look. There's lots to choose from and, best of all, you can download it free.

New Version of Muvizu freezes! Hi Wizplace,

As a blind guess, you may need to update your graphics card drivers.

Jim made a poston this a while back:

"Updating your graphics card drivers can also reduce the likelihood of crashes. You can find updated drivers for ATI and Nvidia cards here:

You can get the latest NVIDIA drivers from:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

And the latest ATI drivers from:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx"

Hope that helps!

About the Resources section Hi Simon, Hugmyster,

If you have any posts that consider to be most useful, and that you think may need to be kept at the top, let us know and we can add a sticky.

White Wine in the Sun Oh...a fly just flew in my eye and now it's gone all watery.
Simply beautiful Berty.

A great song with a lovely sentiment, and your animation has really done it justice.

Well done. It does deserve to go viral.

This winter I'll be drinking white wine in the sun

On the News I agree - top work, as always! I don't think I could get tired of these.

I'm interested to know - for the manic running scenes, was it post-processing, or transparent video?

Camera Options and Filters Hey Dylly,

Thanks for the input. I'd agree with you on the first point - we need more range with this slider, ditto for the depth of field range, I'd say it lacks subtlety.

Points 2 and 3 - not sure if we can do that, it might be a bit tricky, technically speaking. It's not really my department tho.

For the 4th point, I think we may already have something similar.
Did you try the 'Base effect: Sepia/Colour wash' option?
You can adjust the hue, add some white or dark to suit, toy with the contrast and brightness settings, you might get an effect close to this?

For the last point, eh...we already have those plugins...but you have to plug it into your brain, not into Muvizu, and it's a rather painful process..

Cheers,

Em.

On the News Very enigmatic my dear Dreeko.

Well, they say you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs, but I have evidence to prove otherwise...

2011/11/2 14:21:54
On the News Not happy you say?

Why so - technical issues to do with Muvizu, or your computer in general?
