Stop breathing, and hold that POSE!!! Danimal wrote:
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease do not remove the breathing completely. One of the things I like so much about the software is that the characters don't just stand there like statues. It adds a touch of realism.

Perhaps an option to turn off breathing would be helpful, just as you can turn off blinking, but I've found a number of poses where the character holds still anyway so it's not much of an issue.

Good suggestion - I've added it to the HUGE list of suggested improvements. As ever, no promises, but it would be good to see this.

Dukes of Hazzard - car jump Here's a little tip for car movement - although maybe it will work better if your vehicle is on the flat...

1. Right click on the car and select 'floats in the air'.

2. Make your car hover mid air (this allows you to put the rotation point under the ground).

3. Go to Prepare > Object movement, and drag the rotation point so that it is on the ground. You may want to put it at the front or rear of the car, depending on which way you want to angle your crash.

4. Now drag the car down so it is on the ground again.

5. You can use Page Up / Down Keys and the controls to adjust the roll and twist of the movement.

CRASH! BANG! WALLOP!!

Saw Trailer ( Muvizu ) Schweeeeet! I love film parodies. This one was really well made. Are you gonna do a full version?

Is this a new feature? Hi Wertstrong.

This happens when you lock your screen. Save your work, restart Muvizu, then it should go back to normal.

As Ziggy said, it shouldn't cause any problems when using the software, it just looks a little strange.

Good luck with your animation!

YouTube Tips & Tricks Ciao a tutti!

Given the recent conversation about YouTube tags, I wanted to start a post where we can list any YouTube tips and tricks.

Video quality...tips on improving view count...how to customise your channel, there's plenty of issues to chew on.

In a recent commentI mentioned that you can remove the black window boxing from YouTube by adding one of the following tags: yt:stretch=16:9 or yt:crop=16:9.

I can't remember where I got these tags from, but you can find the full list in the YouTube help section.

  • Tag: yt:crop=16:9
(zooms in on the 16:9 area, removes windowboxing)

  • Tag: yt:stretch=16:9
(fixes anamorphic content by scaling to 16:9)

  • Tag: yt:stretch=4:3
(fixes 720 x 480 content that is the wrong aspect ratio by scaling to 4:3)

  • Tag: yt:quality=high
  • (defaults to a high-quality stream, depending on availability.

The (rather pink) Dctcool explains it quite well:

You can also edit the end of a YouTube URL to make the video play in an specific resolution:

&fmt=6 increases the resolution to 448x336

&fmt=18 increases the resolution to 480x360

&fmt=22 increases the resolution to 1280×720

    More info here:

    Hope that's useful for you.

2 New videos, from a Muvizu Beginner Nice one Wizaerd!

I tried to sell my soul once, but they only offered me 50p and a half-eaten cucumber sandwich.

    Fork Off

If you want to remove the black border from your video go to YouTube and find your video, then go to 'Edit Video Detail' - then in the tags box add either "yt:stretch=16:9" or "yt:crop=16:9.

    Cheers,

    audio jumping around! Howdy.

The audio sync problem is something that we are aware of, but it's been hard to pin down.
If it happens, can you send in your set file to bugs@muvizu.com with a description of what you did to make the audio out of sync, and where in the timeline it happens. Sorry if it's a hassle, but it's difficult for the coders to fix things without knowing EXACTLY how to recreate it.

    Cheers!

Interface & Timeline Just out of interest, would you prefer a short, fast swooping camera movement, or no movement at all?

I was never fan of either Warner Brothers or Disney cartoons. There. I said it and I'm glad I did.

However, pick a cartoon from the '80s and there's a good chance I liked it. Except maybe The Smurfs. And Turbo Teen: the Human Car. However, give me The Transformers or G.I. Joe or even He-Man and the Masters of the Universe any day. Spiderman and His Amazing Friends or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were way up there too.

I also loved the older Droopys and Popeyes, not the awful new versions made in the '80s. The Flintstones were great, never liked The Jetsons though. Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, and of course the Super Friends.

And this isn't even mentioning Saber Rider, Scooby Doo, Rocky & Bullwinkle, George of the Jungle, Top Cat, and... hmmm, I'd better stop now, I could go on for days.

    You forgot this one:

Compatibility: Old set files and the new Muvizu Hi OMenor!

That's a bit odd, was the set created in the recent release, or in a previous one?
If possible, please send the set file to bugs@muvizu.com, then we can take a look at it.

    Best,

    Emily.

Lighting seems to be the common "problem". The other things that I mentioned (i.e.; camera cuts, objects moved), I am wondering if having both the last two Muvizu programs installed together, is causing the problem. I removed the old Muvizu and they now work (knock on wood).

    Hi Wally,

Sorry that you are having trouble. The lighting and camera effects, we know about. What problems are you having with camera cuts and objects exactly? The objects sometimes don't keep their 'can be stood on' property, is that what you mean? What issue are you having with camera cuts? I haven't seen any bugs there...although that doesn't mean that there aren't any :P
