TUTORIAL IMPORT 3D MOMDELS FROM SKETCHUP TO MUVIZU tonyob67 wrote:
Done Rocque, the subs are in...I hope I did not made a mistake as usual haha

I got lost right around the part where a file was provided by Ziggy. It started going way too fast for me. However, the second time I watched it was much better. I found I could understand it without reading the subtitles. HA! Maybe I will learn how to speak Spanish!

Tony, your English translations are way better than I could possibly do in Spanish, so do not worry about mistakes in that part. I appreciate the excellent tutorial. Now I have a better idea on what happens when you import a model from Sketchup. I never know what they were taking about with polygons, and your tutorial covered it.

I learned a whole lot. I never would have considered centering the object on all axis. I will probably have to watch the last few minutes once more, but this has been excellent!

Thank you for all your time spend in making the tutorial, and then adding the English parts to it. That was very nice of you. Eso fue muy amable de su parte!

Coming to soon to the Muvizu store clayster2012 wrote:
I figured that we need a coming soon Topic for the store, so people can tell about their ideas, so I'll start first!

In my last post in the New in the muvizu store I mentioned my Idea for 3d City Backdrops, well I been working hard to keep them low poly so there wouldn't be any slow down or lag when working on scene sets, I created this small scene with everything that I had made and a few muvizu items to test the speed, and so for there are no slow downs at all, but I'm still going to add to the scene with more creations to see if it slows down any, here's a couple of pictures to see what I'm trying to do.

a sidewalk view with a character walking in front of the stores.

As you can see I'm trying to bring a new look to muvizu with more detailed scenes without the crawling movements when your trying to work on new scenes, with the 3d city backdrops I had to divide them into smaller sections so scaling larger would be possible but they go together easily to make bigger backdrops, the smaller building and side walks are single objects that can be placed in front of the backdrops, that way you can place them in any order you want, so I guess this will be a complete city construction kit the way it's starting to look, may have to change the name...lol!

so feel free to tell me what you think about this project, would be something you would like to see in the store?

I definitely like what you are working on Clayster. Is there any way you could make a city in winter? Christmas is coming, and you never know I might get a Christmas video. We will see.

I think this is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I am not sure what you are saying in your explanations because I have not used blender, but I am sure there will be a lot of help if I ever decide to use it. Thank you again.

Great little set, awesome movie - so beautifully done, so well animated and constructed, just amazing. If you haven't watched it yet, get to it!

Thanks for the link, Ziggy. I am going to watch the video now.
I like the colors you are using Rodrisilva. The snails are awesome.
Now I am going to see what the video is like.

The video is incredible. I love the truck and how you have him back into the parking space...that is so truck owner like!!! You have a great imagination, and I do not think anyone could guess the ending ahead of time. The fishing scene is also inspiring. It is amazing how much you can do with the right tools, and time to learn how to use them all.

Muvizu Halloween Contest 2016 Results Congratulations to everyone!!! I watched all the videos more than one time, and saw more each time. Your techniques with lighting were excellent, and the choices of background sounds fit right in. No matter what the length of the video was, they all told a story that was fun to watch.

Muvizu has excellent animators, and you all proved what can be completed using the studio.

Tonyob67 did an outstanding job with everything that was in his video. Thank you so much for the translations because it made the animation so much more fun to watch. I enjoyed the mother-in-law. In a short video I was able to relate to the characters and their various roles in life due to the expressions, dialog, and head and eye movements, and the timings that you used. Congratulations on the win!

Making your own game is impossible... NOT! Years ago when I started teaching where I work Unreal Tournament shooter game was very popular with all of our students, and even more so with those in the IT classes who were learning how to fix and build computers, set up networks and get C++ certificates.
I enjoyed watching what they were doing, but the shooter games made me dizzy, and those kids were really good. At lunch time they would charge students 25 cents to spend 30 minutes playing the game in the computer lab. It was always full.

Is this the same platform that Unreal Tournament was made from?

I'm going to set up a vote on the forum so users can choose the video they think did the best.

Can we make more accounts and vote more than one time? Just kidding. Maybe I need to start learning how to make videos again instead of reading 200 page propositions to vote on for the election. I would rather watch the videos and vote 2 or 3 times.

So far they are all very enjoyable and I do not feel qualified to be a judge since I know how much work they all involve, and I would vote them all #1.

Nice, but be careful he may be out next president...lol!

That was funny Clayster. I was thinking of making the same type of video but the scary person was going to be Hillary! However I did not want to be labeled a hater. I enjoyed Zayha's humor and think that they are both very scary people, so they should have had equal scary time in videos.

My grandparents all came through Ellis Island, and they were screened before the gates of the USA were opened to them. They did not get a free ride into the country. They learned the language, my grandfather went to Rutgers University, and all grandparents became citizens, etc. When I asked my grandfather to teach me how to speak Italian when I was little he said, this is America, you speak English here. So I never learned to speak Italian other than certain words my grandmother told me not to repeat.

Maybe the wall is not such a bad idea, especially for trick-or-treating little kids who are told on any other night to stay away from strangers, and do not go up to their cars or houses.

Is anyone using muvizu to create explainer videos? What is an explainer video? When I joined I was going to use Muvizu to make history and math tutorials. I am too busy fighting the learning curve and have not made one educational video yet.

Muvizu Halloween Contest 2016 Entries Welcome Magic-man!! Very nice character design in your video, and the mirror was great! Thanks for sharing how you made them. I love the hulk, too. You did a great job on your video. I watched it about 4 times to see everything Pat was mentioning. He has the sharpest eye around.

I am not sure what you used to make 99% of your video.

can you elaborate on this? Do you mean you aren't sure where the assets came from? Or how the scenes were constructed? or something else?

Yes! to everything you did! How did you do the panning? It looked so smooth to follow the moon across the view like the camera was on a conveyor belt or wheels. I did not know you could travel so far across a set so smoothly. My scenes are short and choppy, and I would love to be able to have something like you did there.

The wolf howling was also amazing. The timing was perfect, and I was expecting a wolf and got the wolf man, but the wolf head was very realistic.

The lighting throughout the video was very well done. I enjoyed the scene with the witch around the fire. I will have to watch the video again to ask more questions. I totally missed the car the first time through because of the house and person inside.

That is all for now.

Anything that's good about it was probably one of Ziggy's ideas.

Not fair (on yourself) - you already had a good video before you asked for feedback.

I agree with Ziggy! When you say there are lots of mistakes in it, maybe for you there are, but for those of us who saw it as highly entertaining, it was great from the beginning to the very end. The moon was awesome only lighting up the circle. The sound effects were spot on, and the characters were scary enough as they approached the house. Your use of shadows helped set the overall spookiness of the scenes.

There is a lot of growth in techniques in all of your videos. Maybe you are too much of a perfectionist, or too critical of your own works. I saw it as very well executed, and just the right amount of suspense for those of us who do not like to be over scared. I am happy that you were having fun making it, and it shows because it was all very smooth to watch, and I am inspired how you got the scene to pan across effortlessly.

I am not sure what you used to make 99% of your video.

A test of the Talking Version of Tropical Birds When I order the singing birds, I will understand how you used key framing with that set? I mean will I be able to see the key framing?
If we get the set and then want to used it for something other than a song, but having the birds talk would it be best to make a copy of the set before we attempt anything new? I would hate to mess up all of your work by a slip of the mouse.

What is the best way to reuse the set as far as not messing what you have created?
