That's listed in the known issues on the downloads page, and something I've been desperately trying to fix for a little while. It's a pesky one, grrrrr. As you've spotted, clicking a tab or resizing the window will force it to appear.

Oops should practice what I preach (to my customers) and read the "Readme".... FAQ Nice

Either post them here, or if it's a long complicated explanation of how we're doing it wrong, feel free to make a new thread.

Nope not complicated just a little annoying - one no longer exists (the tutorial/welcome dialog was constantly showing despite checking "do not show again") - the other is just something I personally don't like (as someone who has written applications) - if I make the UI fullscreen and then close Muvizu - when I start it up again it's small again

Also when I choose "Create | Object" - the dialog is on the objects tab but the "import" button is missing, it only appears if I go from another tab back to Objects.

That's all for now - nearly time to go home

I don't believe that anything has changed since the last release regarding .ASE file importing, so the old video tutorial should still be completely valid.

Yep no all about the tutorial - tried on a couple of new models and it has indeed worked - would love to know what the extra options are for though....will keep playing

There's a bunch of tutorials pending at the moment that were built around questions that we got asked and the new interface. Should be up soon!

Good oh! - should we still use the bug forums? - I have noticed a couple of things that are not "quite right" (to me anyway) ....

Feedback on Muvizu - 5th September 2011 (ENG) I agree with the size of the text - it's tiny....good job I have telescope glasses so I can read the text.
Am currently (should be working) looking at the import of ase files - there seems to be a lot of changes...really appreciate any tips on how to do this - a new tutorial like Jim did would be fantastic!

Edit: cannot import ASE files - Muvizu is freezing will try something simple...was really hoping this would work

Apart from that - looks ok - may even get me Queen video done now.

Tribute video?

Oh I would love to...but sadly I haven't had a lot of time recently - therefore I was going to revisit this when the new version of Muvizu was released, now if it had been the 30th......

Quoling, if you have details of any bugs and any suggestions for improving the site then we'd love to hear them. We're actually planning a bit of an overhaul just now.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is the links in the Gallery - for example click on any of the options (Assets, Scripts etc) and then click on Back and it goes to the home and not the last page..if that makes sense..If I get more time I will try to come up with something more specific..

Send tutorial requests to Muvizu HQ I also think that tuts showing the new features would be great - but there also needs to be a lot more - just basic things like making backgrounds move, how to make objects move (that needs to be updated) - also the tuts done by users such as Dreeko should be included in the one page...in fact to be honest the site needs a overall - there are buttons that don't link to the correct page and it's not easy to find things (at least I don't think so)....cannot wait for the new release though....Oh and can the audio be louder and consistant please? - found a couple that are hard to hear.

Yeah sussed that afterwards - still cannot import the models - when I click on Ok - nothing happens - no error, nothing it just freezes for 10+ mins and I have to abort via task manager - but it's late now so will try again over the weekend...

Can you expand on that? - I understand the halfway up - and even the 2/3 way back (I think) but what do you mean by "from the centre to the outer edge" - do you mean go left? - any chance of a quick video showing this? Confused

Lock camera on object? Is it possible to lock a camera onto a object so it just follows it around......I have a feeling I know the answer...but just in case.

Sketchup models - anybody having success with them I have imported quite a lot from sketchup and it takes a lot of trial and error - try to make sure your models are not too complex and if possible split it up into parts.

Jim did a great tutorial series - part one of which is at

http://www.muvizu.com/Video/12611/Importing-from-Sketchup-Part-1

I imported a complete Queen "stage" from sketchup using Jim's methods..so I know it works

Probably - although of course it doesn't "have" to be a Queen gig - it could be anything really - as the song is about a heart attack.......I would think the more "imaginative" the better - I'm sure you could think of something Thumbs Up

QUEEN COMPETITION MAKE A VIDEO Saw this a while ago and was going to have a go but haven't found the time - so thought I would suggest it on here - a great way to promote Muvizu and a good way of thinking of a different type of video.

http://www.talenthouse.com/queen-make-a-video-for-sheer-heart-attack

It's quite a fast song, I was thinking of a "concert" type video - but then again maybe a more original idea could be used Lyrics:

Well you're just 17 and all you want to do is disappear
You know what I mean there's a lot of space between your
ears
The way that you touch don't feel no nothin'
Hey hey hey hey it was the D.N.A.
Hey hey hey hey that made me this way
Do you know do you know do you know just how I feel?
Do you know do you know do you know just how I feel?

Sheer heart attack
Sheer heart attack
Real cardiac

I feel so in-ar in-ar in-ar in-ar in-ar in-ar in-ar in-ar-tic-u-late

Gotta feelin' gotta feelin' gotta feelin' like a paralyse
It ain't no it ain't no it ain't no it ain't no surprise
Turn on the TV let it drip right down in your eyes
Hey hey hey hey it was the D.N.A.
Hey hey hey hey that made me this way
Do you know do you know do you know just how I feel?

Character Texture maps Been messing about with this and have managed to get a reasonable "Freddie Mercury" together, complete with yellow jacket - question though - how do you get rid of the lines on the character? - have I missed something from the Tutorial? - should I fill the entire template with a colour?
