Message from mrwatts

Hi,

I am trying to get Muvizu to run on my PC. It has a pretty clean, standard installation of Windows XP. It doesn't have the latest hardware, but it meets the specs: Windows XP SP3, NVidia Geforce 6200 (has Shader 3.0). Whenever I start the program, I get the error "An error has occurred: Unable to load DLL ' Muvizu.dll'. Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000001D".

I have already done the following:

- Uninstalled and re-installed the program various times, with all check boxes checked (.NET 4.0, DirectX 9, C++ Runtime 2010)
- Installed in various locations (C:\Program Files\..., D:\Muvizu Play\) etc.
- Installed DirectX SDK june 2010
- Installed .NET Framework 3.5
- Installed latest Geforce 6 series WHQL drivers from NVidia

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Martin

#EDIT: It seems that the 0xC000001D error code means: illegal instruction, and appears often on older AMD machines (Athlon XP) that don't have SSE2 on board. I have an Athlon XP 2400+, so that could be the problem.

Do you guys really need SSE2?
edited by mrwatts on 03/01/2014
