Their version did not become a hit , the cover that Christian St. Peters did became a huge hit.
The 2 members of The Changing Times was Artie Kornfeld & Steve Duboff.
It was actually Artie Kornfeld that wrote Pied Piper.
Artie was in his 20's when he was vice president of Capitol Records ,
he also co-wrote & produce many hit tunes like - Jan & Dean's - Dead Mans Curve
and The Classic Cowsills hit - The Rain The Park & Other Things.
Artie also toured with Sonny & Cher in the 60s with The Changing Times act.
It was also Kornfeld and Michael Lang that put together the 1969 Woodstock concert
& the Warner Brothers documentary film.
He later became a great music producer for many famous acts too.
Here is my Bubblerock Cartoon video I did of this classic song
using Muvziu 3-D program for the cartoon.
I also remastered the music and fixed the tempo & speed to make it sound good.
I added a few pics and efxs too.
Note - Artie Kornfeld character is the guy with the cap who sings along on the verses.
This video is Version 1 - Just the 2 singers with 3 basic camera shots.
There is another version (Version 2) with dancing Go Go Girl & moving Bubblerock Records backdrop
with the image of Mama & Papas singer , Michelle Phillips.
Version 2 is also in special Widescreen format.
