Hi, I just got into Muvizu today... cant wait to get started.. looks great. So I went straight for opening up the snail set from the online choices and it gets to 99% complete then gives error message.... ' There was an error loading the scene, the feature you are trying to use is not licensed'

Not sure whats best to do, I paid straight away for license, activated it and installed the latest version of software...

Other sets open up fine, well the ones Ive tried.. sods law that this is my favourite looking one and doesnt work

Anyone help..?

Thanks

V

It may contain something from a content pack (such as keyframing) which is not covered by the standard licence. Try contacting the original creator of the asset: http://www.muvizu.com/Store#&&s=1&p=1&c=3&pl=-1&q=

Hey, thanks for the prompt reply.

I have contacted the creator. Is this common....? most of the others i have tried seem to work ok, I thought it may be corrupted some how.,.?

Ah I think I get it, you need certain packs to make the set work...

Penny drop moment.

I really depends how they build the sets. If they use a feature other than the standard ones, then it won't be able to run on copies of Muvizu without the licence to run these extras. Contacting the creator can find the problem and maybe they can change it to remove the extra thing.

It's probably me using lots of different words for the same thing that's confusing you!
So you can buy content packs/add-ons for Muvizu which are found here: http://www.muvizu.com/Store
Some of them add objects or effects (like the Chemistry Pack), and some add additional features/functionality (like the keyframing or 360 packs).
Without the keyframing content pack, you can't use the keyframing functionality built in to Muvizu.

Im trying to make a vid for a new song and the snail character has got the ' X' factor. Heres one of my videos and songs if you fancy a listen... just so you know Im serious about this shizzle.

So if I were to purchase all these packs you sent links to... total about 40/50 pounds i suppose ... I would be able to utilise everything that is in Muvizu..? The plan is to get stuck right in ... I love animating video , new to it.

Thankyou for this !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, if you buy all the content packs you will unlock all the features. To learn how to use Muvizu, there are many options in the help menu on this site.

Hi

Snail set was made with Muvizu Play 1.8. For unknown reasons snail attachments doesn't open in 1.9 version. I had to reassemble it for 1.9 version and now it works.

For those waiting to download it : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2ire-Bv_13iTTdLS0ZGcDlnUFU/view?usp=sharing

Enjoy it

For the ones you need to download, they're just little programs to install it into the main version so you don't need to worry about where you put these.

although, it's a good idea to create some kind of planned directory structure early on to keep your projects organized... otherwise you can easily get overwhelmed by all the different files.

Here's my system, (yours will vary.. the main thing is to have a system.)

1) I keep my MUVIZU stuff on a separate drive, but DOCUMENTS /MUVIZU works as base directory

2) subfolders are dedicated to organizing reusable assets:
  • asset packs
  • AVI
  • tips & tricks
  • green screen
  • models
  • PNG backgrounds
  • projects
  • sets (downloaded from the store)
  • UVMAPS and downloaded skins for core characters
  • textures
  • Ziggy's stuff (to store all the cool stuff Ziggy comes up with)

3) in the PROJECTS folder I save stuff that is project specific
  • ideas (a text file where I log any random ideas for a project)
  • audio (dialog, ambient sounds, music etc)
  • images (references, textures, backdrop images etc)
  • models (attachments or standalone models created especially for this project)
  • sets (I typically have a different set for each scene)
  • video (AVI for backdrops, the Muvizu generated scenes, the video editor master file, and final output)
