Anyone use AVS? quality lost from Muvizu to AVS... That's the way I'd do it.

Either will do, they are just hosts for the files. I used mirror 1. It comes with both 32 and 64 bit versions. Simple .exe installer.

So now what I'm wondering is...is it the location where I got the xvid codec the problem?


I always make sure I download stuff from the people that make it. It's a good habit to get into.

Um what happened to the old backdrop items ? I can't help with that, sorry. Have a look in the feedback or tech help sections and if not post the question there. I am sure someone will help.

Look on the bright side, you have some new furniture and you know never to fiddle with codecs again.

Um what happened to the old backdrop items ? It's a bug with 0.19b. They are all still there but do not display in the menu. The easiest way is to search with just one letter. This applies to some blob textures as well.

Basically, anything you can't find, search for using one or two letters, B for bricks, C for city, etc..

Thanks for the advice, 3ds Max is beyond my price range ( free ) and hardware. Blender will take me several years to learn and I'd rather be making movies. Will investigate the other solutions. Thanks again for your patience and expertise. What would we do without you.

Stop video looping. Thanks Dreeko, I value your advice. Only one character so that's not too hard, after that we move on to him driving through a city being destroyed with rubble collapsing all around so the helicopter bit's probably the easiest .

Stop video looping. I need to blow up a helicopter in mid flight. I have the rocket launcher, I have the rocket, I have the helicopter. As usual it's the finishing touch that's the hardest.

Stop video looping. Is there any way to make an imported video play just once instead of continually looping.
I have some good transparent AVI explosions that I wish to animate via backdrop object properties - animate - image.

However when I switch to the video from "none" it loops. This is making it very difficult to synchronise. Is there any way to make a video play just once?
