Scène tournante Do you have any joysticks or game controllers plugged into your PC? Unplugging these should fix the problem.

New user - failing to render a basic animation That GPU isn't too bad, but you can see that you're having issues so it might be time to upgrade if you're planning to use Muvizu a lot. I would say the GTX 750ti is the minimum you'd want to use with Muvizu. (Personally I'd go with the newer AMD RX460 because of driver support into the future - and it's the same price as the 750ti)
If you're happy with rendering in AVI as you are then you could continue, but you need to watch out for the 2GB file size limit on the version of avi which Muvizu uses.
According to AMD's site, your GPU supports up to DirectX 11 which is the one Muvizu uses so that should all be fine.

Some of the Muvizu users use cards such as the GTX 970 and GTX 980ti because they're building very complex sets which require the power.

New user - failing to render a basic animation You need a graphics card for Muvizu because it's using the Unreal 3 game engine underneath. It will really struggle if you have a weak GPU or no gpu at all.

If you have a desktop PC, you can add a graphics card. (I would recommend an nvidia gtx750ti or AMD rx460 to get you started.)

Recorded Audio Cannot Be Named Yeah you'll need to use something like Audacity to merge your audio into one track for each character: http://www.muvizu.com/Wiki/wiki/58/getting-multiple-dialogue-tracks-into-muvizu

Hey Zig,

Another silly question. Do you have the most recent up-to-date version of your .ASE exporter? I just want to make sure the files I am downloading is safe and not full of bullcrap malware.

Thanks for the link to Sketch Up 8 BTW

Thanks

The most recent version of the Ziggymesh exporter (Only compatible with Sketchup 8) is here: http://www.rodneyandberty.com/#!downloads/rmmoz

oh yeah there are a ton of one man show game makers and some of the games are very good.

Yeah I think Unturned is a good example of an engine (Unity) and some assets chucked together to make a pretty good free game.

Making your own game is impossible... NOT! Wow, that's pretty good. Are you suggesting Muvizu 2?

Muvizu Halloween Contest 2016 Entries Voting starts tomorrow!
I'm really glad to see so many entries, and I will be watching them all for the first time when I vote.
I hadn't realised our clocks go back an hour tomorrow - meaning 9AM BST is 8AM here now. (I can't keep up with all these clock changes!)
I'll probably start the poll at 8AM tomorrow then, although I may do it slightly earlier or later since I'm a tad busy. Voting ends at 6PM.
Good luck, everyone!

I had put this on the Store around a month ago and haven't seen a few models make it up there. I used to have them up almost a day later.

Maybe there's a problem with the upload system. Best to take it up with support: http://www.muvizu.com/Support

Exporting from Sketchup or Blender -- Oct 2016 A flattened UV map sounds like a good idea, but apparently Blender has issues transferring some settings to Muvizu. (It's a bit hit and miss so I wouldn't be surprised if something went wrong with the textures)
Ziggy, Berty, and Urbanlamb are the experts here with object importing so I expect they'll be around to give advice soon.
Try the UV map and if that doesn't work you'll have to do a bit of trial and error experimenting with different settings.

Exporting from Sketchup or Blender -- Oct 2016 You can export a Muvizu compatible FBX model from Blender which is your best option.
With a bit of searching I've found this which should help you a lot: http://www.muvizu.com/forum/topic5857-your-videos.aspx?p=f#post33250

If you want to export from a newer Sketchup version, here's some information on how to do so: http://www.muvizu.com/forum/topic5438-importing-assets.aspx?p=f#post28745

Personally for Sketchup exporting I use the Ziggymesh exporter which is only compatible with Sketchup 8 (hence all the guides for it). This automatically changes the model's collision to be tiny, allowing other models to pass through it in Muvizu. If you do not add collision either manually or with an exporter like this, Muvizu will assign collision to the object which can be awkward if you're placing models next to each other.
If you have any more questions then go ahead and ask, we're a friendly bunch here.

This program is so bug-ridden I don't know where to start. I paid for the full version maybe 6 months ago, and hoped to do some good stuff with it. But I'm constantly aggravated by basic errors that should have been fixed years ago. Just now I recorded a Dialogue and named it... but when I click Ok it goes on the list as Unnamed Source. When I try to record it as dialogue to Lipsync with a Character, it just does not work - no lip sync, no proper recording. Now at first I blamed myself, as many people would. But it's increasingly obvious this software is almost unuseable...

That second bug sounds unusual, have you tried contacting support? http://www.muvizu.com/Support

Anticip, the staff are more likely to see your post if you contact them directly.

They have ready made models in Sketchup? You can just upload them into Muvizu, or do you have to have some special file extension?

Here's the 3D warehouse: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/?hl=en
You import these into sketchup and then export from there as .ase but often they have faces facing the wrong way or too many polygons.

Phwoar that meta tag must be ancient.

I try to learn something new each day but I'm not sure how Phwoar applies here. Sure, both me and my ideas are fit and hot but did you mean the slang was just as old as the tag?

And don't worry about the Chinese site taking over this one just yet.

Ha! I never looked up the definition of that, I'm just using it here as an exclamation. (Note to self: check meaning of phrases)
