Will there be a new version of Muvizu this year? I'm beginning to think that I purchased Muvizu Play+ a bit prematurely. Normally I don't buy anything as soon as it's released but I "took the plunge" and purchased Muvizu Play+ anyway. I paid £150 ($250 US) and about a week or so later they dropped the price to £75. The price still seems to be £75 so now I kind of feel like I over paid. Oh well, my fault. I should have waited.

I really really like using Muvizu however if they do happen to fix some of the bugs and update the software are they going to charge a high price for the upgrade?

Will there be a new version of Muvizu this year? I think toonarama is referring to a version of Muvizu that we will likely use, not the fabled industry level renderer that you lot have been beavering away on for months and months.

i agree

New experimental video I do have a cell phone and use it daily but all I do is talk on it. No texting or any of the other things people do on a cell phone. I prefer to actually hear the person I'm talking to and besides, I can't see the damn letters on the phone screen. My eyesight is pretty bad even with my glasses on. My friends call me "old fashion" and I tell them to just deal with it. LOL

Glad to see I'm not the only "lefty" in the Muvizu community!

New experimental video Dylly, is that a calligraphy pen I see in the background? I still have a whole set of those. Back in the 70's and 80's I owned a sign company and I hand painted signs and did custom calligraphy work for people. It seems people just don't want "hand lettered" anything anymore.

UrbanLamb, you are definitely not a dinosaur! You have a system of doing things that works for your personal needs and there is nothing wrong with that at all. My grand dad used to tell me, "if it's working ok don't try to fix it".

I have a fairly large library of REAL books that I prefer over the electronic variety as well.

Graphic bug (large white streaks) with Play+ That's strange. I use Muvizu Play+ on a laptop with an i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M graphics card. I haven't had that problem yet.

Lightweight Laptop Recommendations ? urbanlamb gives some really good advice.

Personally, I use a laptop for pretty much all of my animation and it works just as well as my desktop. I've been using it for well over a year with Muvizu and other 3d animation programs and its performing great. The main reason I use a laptop is because I'm always on the road and can't lug around a desktop system everywhere I go.

I guess what it really boils down to is your personal preferences and how much you have to spend.

First EVER sale! I should have waited to buy Muvizu Play+. Could have saved a fair amount of money.

Muvizu Play 1.2 Feedback (also Play+) chuckles wrote:
Seems like They've decided to charge £150 for something that still needs beta testers like me ? Are you well off people who can afford this, truly happy ?

I'm certainly not "well off" as you say but I did have a few dollars saved back for something like this. Am I truly happy with my purchase? Yes I am. I've been using Muvizu almost from day one and although I haven't posted any animations to the Muvizu site for quite awhile I am still using the program regularly.

It's worth the price to me to own the full commercial rights to the animations I create. The extra features are a nice bonus too.

Hello Everyone! Welcome Carole! I hope your journey through Muvizuland is a long and happy one! I've been using Muvizu for about 3 years now and during that time have created a variety of things with it. I tend to like to animate "quick jokes" and such but also like to make musical "rock videos" from time to time.

Danimal, a fellow Muvizuer and I are currently working on an ongoing animated series of a small time garage band always trying to make it to the "big time". It's called The Garage Band Blues and the first several episodes are in the gallery if you care to have a look. Here lately I've been creating things for ZuboxTV and working on a few other projects so I keep pretty busy "Muvizuing".

Again, welcome to Muvizuland!

Interested in collaborating on some z-grade films? I'm keeping pretty busy these days too but if I have a particular talent that you may need I'd be happy to give you a hand. Just let me know! Toast

Muvizu:Play (V1.0) Feedback I haven't had too much trouble loading any of my set files but then I like to keep things as "all Muvizu" as possible. It's just my personal preference. I like the look and "feel" of everything the program already has. Also, for anyone that's interested, Danimal and I are in the process of making the next episode of the Garage Band blues. It should be out within the next month or so.

Time to say goodbye. Thanks for all of your hard work Marco! Good luck in your future adventures! Toast

Failure to plan is planning to fail! I usually start out with a set script but if during the "animation process" I come up with something that's not in the "final script" and I think will enhance the final product I'll add it in. In my eyes there's always something cool that can be added to your video that wasn't thought of during the initial scripting process. I never was a "follow the script exactly as it is" kind of animator.

Watermark: new terms of use After reading all of the comments I wanted to "chime in" with my thoughts about things.

Honestly, having the Muvizu watermark on the clips I've made has never really bothered me. I guess my only "complaint" would be that I think the old Muvizu watermark was cooler looking then the new one. If by some chance somewhere down the road I need to create videos without the watermark I'll just deal with it then. Until that time I plan on "cranking out" animations with Muvizu.

IMHO Muvizu is one damn fine piece of software. The folks at Muvizu do listen to their users and I suspect that all of this will be ironed out in the future.

Muvizu:Play (V1.0) Feedback After a quick look around the new Muvizu:Play! I have to say that I'm impressed! There seem to be quite a few obvious changes as well as many subtle changes too. Snap to que points, snap to events AND snap to time??? WOW! Things just keep getting better and better!

Well done team Muzivu! rock on Toast

Note to Muvizu HQ - how many more times, do you reckon, will we have to answer this same question before you come up with a way to make the timeline record bars a bit more obvious? Or maybe have a pointer (a nice big arrow) pointing at it with an explanation the first time you run the program? Seriously, this is the most common problem Muvizu has had since it's first existed, and the second most common question (just behind "why can't I hold anything" and just in front of "how do I get rid of the watermark"
