Your Experience on the Darjeeling Himalayan Train Hi everyone! 🚂 I’ve been reading about the iconic Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the Toy Train, and I’m super excited to include it in my upcoming trip. It’s one of the major highlights I’ve seen in almost every Darjeeling tour package from Delhi, and I can’t wait to experience it myself!
But before I book the tickets, I’d love to hear from those who have actually taken the ride:

Was it scenic and peaceful, or crowded and slow? I heard the Ghum–Darjeeling route is the most popular.
✅ Which route did you take?
Did you go for the Joy Ride from Darjeeling to Ghum and back, or did you travel a longer stretch like Kurseong to Darjeeling?

Can I book this online in advance, or do most Sikkim and Darjeeling tour packages include it already?
