Hi guys !

I read on this post : http://www.muvizu.com/Blog/204/Announcement that most comment ask for unlimited licencing.

Though I completely understand that digimania stopped trading last april I am not sure I completely understand those comments so if you guys could please enlighten me

I have bought last july Muvizu Play + including most official packs (apart from VR and 360), does it mean that my Muvizu Play + licence has an expiration date ? I'm using the software for business pruposes so I need to know if I have to find a contingency plan.

Was I correct to assume that as long as I have the software and its packs on my computer I will still be able to use it, without any updates or tech support ? Or do I have an expiration date to take care of ?

I've read comment such as :
"I agree, please make the keys unlimited. It has already happened to me twice, that I received and error and needed support to help. With no support, I will not be able to use the program in event of an error"

Can it blow up on my face like that ?

There's no expiration date but your licence has a hard limit of 10 activations. (This includes any attempts which come up with error codes)
After the 10th activation attempt, you will get error W2 which you can't fix.
If you re-install Muvizu on your computer at any point, remember to transfer the "licence" folder found in "muvizugame" in the main Muvizu install folder. This won't count against your activation attempts but will only work on the computer where the licence was originally activated.

People are asking for that limit of 10 to be removed so they can install to any new computers they get in the future. The administrators won't be reading these comments and it's up to whoever buys the company. They may well continue selling licences as it was before.

Thanks for the info, didn't knew about that 10 activation hard limit !

Yeah but let's be realistic for one second, the odds that someone invests in a product that clearly is not making money (if cash was flowing, digimania wouldn't be in that situation right now) are pretty scarce, no ? At least keeping the current business model which makes for such a strong value for money product.

To me, the optimistic assessment would be 50-50, the most realistic (yet gloomy) is a small 20 - 80

Licencing has been suspended since the server went down at the start of June. The information above is from May and is now invalid until the licencing server is set up by Meshmellow. I assume Meshmellow don't yet have any English-speaking support reps yet since they're a small Chinese company.
You can find more information about the current licencing situation here: http://www.anizu.uk/muvizuactivation
If you have any computer with an active copy of Muvizu:Play+, you can transfer your licence using those methods.

From your profile, I can see you've been using Muvizu for many years and have clearly got your money's worth.

Sorry you've lost me there. I'm fairly sure purchasing has been suspended since May due to the activation problem. They're not taking anyone's money, and all the previous money went into paying for Digimania's administration fees. Meshmellow recently bought the rights to Muvizu and therefore haven't taken any of anyone's money so far.

Put my name on the long list of people who would love to see Muvizu fully functional again by Christmas (2017)

Having said that, I don't know how big a deal Christmas is in Asia. But their legacy customers in the west would probably line up to buy a new character or asset pack for Christmas. I know I would.

Now that was completely uncalled for. We are here trying to help and you heap your insults towards a USER who is trying to help. Too bad we can't have you booted from here anymore.

Booted for what? What are you? Internet police or another entitled forum overlord? Give the guy a break for Pete's sake. Like many users, the guy is frustrated. On top of that, he was genuinely insulted at the idea of someone suggesting he has got his money's worth. Maybe he should have phrased his disdain in a different manner, but I get his point. YOUR money's worth is not the same as HIS money's worth. That comment from MrDrWho13 came across to me as quite arrogant and insensitive. Emotions are high and nerves are frayed. No one has the right to dictate another person's value proposition. Especially not at this time. It is his money. Not yours. Not mine.

Only he knows the worth.

Not you.

Not me.

I believe the exchange demands apologies from both parties and that's it. No one is booting anyone.

All together it seems now that I found now out by acident that Muvizu is taken over by a Chinese Company that actual has not all under control. (So I see that for example some parts of the registration are still pointing out to the old domain name (Digimania.com) when you try to activate. But what is not working.

Contacted them now on email, so hopefully the activation can be a fact again.

Do NOT have a idea when they have taken this over but I always liked to play with this. It is not a complicated program. And I could use it.

So, I wait and see what is happening.

And out of the response I assume that they (New owner) seem to have no control in this forum ?? Or am I wrong.
