Phew - and I was just thinking about upgrading to Windows 10 - I don't think I will bother until it is all sorted.

It's all good Brian,

I've done everything imaginable on this end. I'm all good with the techie stuff as far as drivers and software go. I've reverted, reinverted, reinvented and even stood on my head I think to make this work again, less of course reverting back to Win7. Not something I'm up to doing at the moment.

It's not just other software conflicts in my machine. The calls inside the program are not finding the core files for the program and I think many are seeing the same problem here..

If some folks could confirm they're all getting the same errors I did, I'd be more inclined to think there's something that got miscoded in the last upgrade fix. (ie. an extra colon or comma or a line or two of code accidentally got deleted before compiling perhaps)

I'm sure it will be figured out. Unless there's something Win10 is doing that the program guys didn't see coming.

For the most part, if you take care of your file structures and software updates on your machine, you'll love Win10. It IS still in beta, and don't force an upgrade until MS tells you your machine is ready. They're partitioning the upgrades to machines they have a good handle they should work with.

Again, most OS upgrades fail because the machine isn't ready. If you want to use Muvizu regularly, wait until they get a stable version that works with Win10, wait another month, then try it out. You have a month to revert back to your previous OS.

I agree Windows 10 is really good. All my computers run it and I've installed on over two dozen for my neighbors with no problems. Muvizu will be good soon. For those who have work to do can use the last stable release of Muvizu. It does work with Windows 10. But head what MrDrWho13 said about reverting back to Windows 7/8.1. You have 30 days before those files are deleted by the OS. So keep track of time. I do have the last stable release if anyone needs it.

Here's what I've discovered now...Brian's advice helped me on my laptop w/windows10 but only for a little bit, again now I get the fatal error until I repeat the processof reverting it back to directx-9, so that's great but not a permanent fix. Next, I've been on the phone w/Microsoft the last few days because while windows 10 upgraded from w7hm easily on my laptop, it upgraded corrupt on my pc w/w7pro...and was a mess, so
1. Brian helped me w/the laptop, then
2. I contacted Microsoft, we worked on my PC remotely, I used the Microsoft Tool to create an ISO file on a New USB Flashdrive making the flashdrive a bootable drive with a FRESH windows 10 OS on it(it took 4 hours exactly), continuing next day...
3. I thought about it overnight and decided F it, CLEAN INSTALL this time(I KNEW I had Everything already backed up on my external drive and other flash drives).

Now I have a Fresh Clean Windows10 Pro on my PC that works! Still have to reinstall programs etc.. I figure I'll redownload and install MuvizuPlay+(yes I have the paid version), and I'll have to copy and paste the key again from email, but I wonder if I should just wait until Muvizu has a viable Windows 10 update or should I just do it now?? ALSO WHEN is this W10 Update going to be Muvizu? And PLEASE make it backwards compatable, because I have Favorite Sets, Favorite Characters, Favorite Models, ETC...that I absolutely NEED and cannot recreate from scratch...cannot afford to lose all my creations! lol...AS of right now I'm testing things(EVERYTHING) out on my upgraded laptop before I do much of anything on my PC. MyBiggest fear is a Malware infestation againlike I had before so I am fiercely trying to figure out which security I will be using on ALL MY MACHINES..and am paranoid about downloading Codecs but I do NEED them again now. I no longer have H264.H265, Xvid doesn't work on windows 10...So not sure what I'lldo there yet...ANyway that's my update...Any Help, tips, Answers to my questions greatly appreciated Thanks!....

EE - I use Webroot AV (www.webroot,com) for my anti-malware. When I used McAfee and Sophos I used to have to perform a clean up about once a month. I swapped all the PCs I look after (around 700) to Webroot some 4-5 years ago and I think I have only done 1 in that time. Plus the overhead on the PC is tiny compared to the big names.

I should add - I do not work for Webroot !

BitDefender would be my second choice.

Malwarebytes is quite popular but as far as I know you also need an antivirus with regular checks. (Avg/avast etc)

I would still advise not downloading codecs unless you trust the site 100%.
Why not render in tga and chuck it together in a video editor?

As for Muvizu updates, I'd say it's a bit more than a few weeks away, and is almost certain to be backwards compatible.

I would say the last stable (ie nothing broke) version is 1.3, which is what I'm still using until 1.5 becomes 100% working (AOs still broke). Having said that, 1.3 does have an small problem with the audio not being used by characters until after you've reloaded the set, but other than that it's still going strong and doesn't have any DX issues. Don't know where you'd download it though - give me a PM if you want me to send it to you. (64 bit version only)

I do find it somewhat odd that we don't have d/l access to choose stable vs beta releases on a download page, rather than our only choice being the beta. But that's just me

Thanks UKBerty, Bitdefender was what I was using on Windows 7 pro, so I might do that....

UPDATE: EEFILMZ IS ALMOST BACK IN PRODUCTION!
I NOW HAVE A NEW VIDEO EDITOR THAT I CANNOT WAIT TO USE NOW THAT I OWN IT!(TRIED THE TRIALS LONG AGO).
PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE, I SPENT ALOT OF TIME ON THE PHONE WITH MICROSOFT! ABOUT MY PC, ABOUT MY LAPTOP, AND HERE'S THE SKINNY ON THE POOP: MUVIZUPLAY+ RUNS STABLE NOW ON MY PC WHICH NOW HAS A CLEAN INSTALL OF WINDOWS 10 (HAD TO BUTTWIPE THE PC CLEAN), AND ALL IS WELL WITH THE PC, IF YOU HAVE ISSUES CRASHING OR ANYTHING I HIGHLY SUGGEST WIPING AND STARTING OVER W/A BOOTABLE FLASHDRIVE CONTACINING A FRESH VERSION OF WINDOWS 10 ON IT. ...HOWEVER MY LAPTOP NOW IS ANOTHER HORROR SHOW THANKS TO SOME PIMPLYFACED(I IMAGINE)DORITO EATIN KID AT MICROSOFT WHO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING OR DIDN'T CARE AND HE RENDERED MY LAPTOP USELESS WITHOUT AN OPERATING SYSTEM FOR WHICH I HAVE NO RECOVERY DISKS, AND THE RECOVERY PARTITION FAILED TOO, ALONG WITH ME EVEN TRYING TO WIPE THAT AND START OVER...ASUS WANTS ME TO PURCHASE THE RECOVERY DISKS FOR A $1K LAPTOP I BOUGHT 3 YEARS AGO...I MIGHT HAVE TO ADN GO BACK TO WIN7 ON THAT AND START COMPLETELY FROM SCRATCH WITH THE LAPTOP. AS FOR MY AWEESOME PC THOUGH NOW WHICH IS MY PRIMARY UNIT OF ANIMATION PRODUCTION, EVERYTHING IS GREAT NOW...PC WORKS GREAT, MUVIZU WORKS GREAT...AND THEN I TRIED TO RENDER TEST VIDEOS...MSV1 CODEC ISN'T SUPPORTED I GUESS? DIDN'T WORK, ProDAD DIDN'T WORK, IUV IUV420 BOTH WORK IF YOU WANT A 30 SECOND/ 1 GIG SIZE FILE (OUCH!), AND I DON'T HAVE OTHER CODECS SHOWING UP IN MUVIZUPLAY+ TO RENDER FROM (I TRULY WISH MUVIZU'S PROGRAM INCLUDED MORE CODECS WITHIN THE PROGRAM), FOR NOW, I THINK I'M GONNA TRY USING IYUV/IYUV420 THEN INPUT INTO MY NEW VIDEO EDITOR AND AND EXPORT IT THAT WAY(I HAVEN'T TRIED THIS YET, BUT IT MIGHT WORK TO SHRINK USING THE VIDEO EDITOR CODECS(IF THE VIDEO EDITOR ITSELF CAN IMPORT FILES THAT FREAKIN ENORMOUS!?!?, BUT I JUST DON'T KNOW IF I CAN PRODUCE LIKE THAT, AND I DO NOT WANNA DOWNLOAD CODECS OFF SOME SITE PEOPLE "TRUST" THEN YA FIND OUT LATER UH OH...SO AT LEAST I'M BACK IN ANIMATION MODE AND MOST THINGS ARE WORKING GREAT! OUTSIDE OF CODECS THAT IS - HINT HINT MUVIZU HELP US WITH THIS CODEC/RENDER ISSUE PLEASE! YOUR PROGRAM IS FREAKING WONDERFUL IT WORKS GREAT SERIOUSLY THANK YOU GUYS! 8)

First off, NO NEED TO YELL! All caps is kind of annoying to anyone on the internet, just so you're aware...

Second, you mentioned you have a flash drive boot disc that you used to install Win10 on your PC? Use that for your laptop. You have everything you need there.

Get the Xvid codec off my page if you're paranoid that you don't want to download anything off of a site you're unsure of. It's the exact codec I'm using and it works fine. But if you ever question downloads from other sites, just scan them before you open them and always uncheck the little boxes for add-on software by always doing a custom install. Never do the standard installations on files you're unsure of.

Here's the codec. If you click below it will automatically download to your machine.

Actually, to confirm, if you did create a fully bootable flash drive you should be fine using that on the laptop. If all you have on it is an upgrade .exe then you'll need to get on the Windows 10 website and create another from .iso file.

Go here for pretty much all you need to know to do it yourself: http://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-clean-install-windows-10/

Remiel,1. obviously I was not yelling, typing is not my forte, and if my caps is on and I don't realize it til I'm well into it, I think people will know the difference. 2. I stated clearly the flash drive is for my laptop failed as well as every other method...the laptop issue will get resolved later, I'm just glad to finally (using my PC), be able to create animations again with MuvizuPlay+. Thanks though for your input.
