Posts: 201 		HI

I've made some scenes and saved no problem. But now when I open a few of my scenes to make a few changes and tweeks I cant resave because I get an error message that says
"there was an error saving the scene unknown error"

Hope theres a fix or work around. I got a ton of scenes that need tweeks and I'd like to keep the set files aswell as the output render.

Can you re-save the sets if you don't change anything? If so, what sort of changes are you making before trying to save?

If you want, you can send us the .SET files that are causing the problem and we'll have a look at them for you. Mail them to bugs@muvizu.com and we'll see what's causing the problem.

Is it happening with all changes, or just some of them (e.g. does editing SFX work but animation doesn't)?

It also looks like quite a complex set - when you view the scene window what percentage memory use is shown?

Also, could you please send one of your sets to bugs@muvizu.com so that we can have a look at it? The Devs can probably find out the exact error pretty quickly.

Iif I load the scene and save right away with making no changes I still get the error

If I delete everything in the scene so only 1 cam is left I still get the error when saving

The memory is 25 %

I will e-mail one of the set files

Posts: 201 		I noticed that When I load the set file the main cam always starts in its default place as if its not saved your last view location you was in before saving.

A Workaround I found to save file.
Load the set file 4 times and u will notice that on the forth time the default cam loads into the right location. It can now be saved. But when loaded again I need to repeat these steps to save again.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem and it happens randomly with various files. Did you manage to find a solution or what the problem is?

Posts: 5 		This is now becoming a major problem for me as every file is eventually corrupt. I don't know what the trigger is but it appears to be related to an OS shutdown. If I work on a file without a full OS shutdown its fine, if I hibernate its also fine but if I use the shutdown function the file is corrupt and won't save. When the file is in this state I can continue to edit it and produce videos, I just can't save it!

I have Win7 64bit Professional,

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated,

Have you tried the new Bleeding Edge version of Muvizu? Although it has known issues, it also has many bug fixes that have been addressed since the previous release, including (I believe) the ones that Jon reported above. You can install both versions on your computer, as long as you install them into different directories.

If the Bleeding Edge version has the same problem, can you send us a copy of a broken .SET file to bugs@muvizu.com. Please include a link to this thread and mark it for my attention and we'll work to address the issue for you.

thanks for the suggestion, I actually came up with the same idea this afternoon and it appears to fix the problem!
