Feedback on Muvizu - 5th September 2011 (ENG) I've been using the previous version of Muvizu along with the newest version. That way I can keep my "old familiar workflow" moving right along and still try to learn all of the new things found in the latest version.

Feedback on Muvizu - 5th September 2011 (ENG) I have an issue...

In the old version of Muvizu when you hit the space-bar during the recording phase it stopped the recording. In the new version when you hit the space-bar to stop recording it doesn't stop anymore. Each time you hit the space-bar it records the previous action over again instead of stopping.

Any chance of getting the space-bar to stop recording like it did in the previous version while recording?

I'm not sure but I think Ziggy touched upon something similar in an earlier post.

2gb limit? Thanks for the reply mcmillan-ca.

2gb limit? My system is:

Win 7 pro 64bit SP1
i7 870 (upgraded from i5)
12 gig ram
intel DP55WG mainboard
ATI FirePro 4800
2 SATA drives (500gb-1000gb)
1 External 500gb usb drive

I have various usb devices that I use every now and then but they aren't plugged in all the time. I have a virus and malware program running in the background but nothing else and I'm running the 64bit version of Muvizu as well. I'm wondering if it may be an issue with one of the device drivers installed on my system.

Here lately I've been creating my videos in pieces and editing them together so I haven't encountered the problem recently. Very strange...

2gb limit? I had that same issue and tried all of the things you mentioned too. I have so many different graphics and animation programs loaded onto my computer that I thought it had something to do with that. My "workaround" with Muvizu has been to do my rendering in smaller "chunks" (under 2 gigs) and then edit them together for the final output. So far so good.

I'm not sure what's causing the problem either but I'm glad you mentioned it because I thought I was the only one having this issue.

Extras!! Yes, as I've stated in a few previous posts I too would welcome such a feature.

Extras!! I really don't mind having to animate each character separately at all. Animating the characters individually allows me to give them a more "natural" look within the scene. It does take quite a lot of time depending on how many "extras" are in the scene and what you have them doing but the end results are worth the effort.

There are times when an automatic function would come in handy but for now I'm quite happy with doing things the "hard" way.

rotate camera around a object/character ukBerty wrote:
I think you can do it by changing the rotation point to the object itself, then use the left or right keys when directing the camera - this will rotate around the object keeping the same distance away.

I've done this and it works really well. Good luck toonarama!

Jagged Edges Problem The Intel HD is an integrated graphics chip meaning that it shares it's memory with the system ram. This slows down pretty much anything that is "graphics intensive" considerably. While it is possible to get somewhat satisfactory results with the newer chips I've found that computers with integrated graphics just don't play well with Muvizu.

...and another thing - what, you thought that was it?

While using the timeline, the default focus stays on the last thing you clicked - so if the last thing you did was add a marker, every time you press Space after that you'll create a marker. Shouldn't the focus always default back to Play/Stop? Unless there's a good reason not to, could we have it that way?

And still on that Timeline window...above the Scene and object properties there are big empty grey areas. Could we either put another timeline into them or get rid of them? Also the headers for the Timeline and Cameras windows are pretty redundant unless you're a total newb, and take up yet more space. The Close and Pin buttons could be relocated down into that grey area above the object properties, maybe?

Back to work

Good Postingi agree

Okay, having a bit of an issue here with the timeline - by always zooming into the start marker, I keep getting lost in the timeline, and then lose track of wether the numbers refer to seconds or minutes. There's no sense of scale at any zoom level, and no way of knowing where you just zoomed to, which means zooming all the way back out to then try to figure out where you are. And then be unable to zoom back down to where you want to be. Can't we please zoom in/out on the marker instead of the start?

Also, hate to be negative, but can we please have the old timeline (style) back again? And restore the ability to create cue points by clicking on the master timeline? And the ability to drag the master timeline? Basically what I'm trying to say is that I'm starting to hate the new timeline, and it's brought me to a grinding halt because it wont let me work the way I have done previously, and I'm not sure how to get around it. The scroll bar is way too clumsy to use to navigate your way along the timeline, but worse than that it's sloooowwwww. And my machine aint slow.

So, I'm with Artpen on this one - the timeline needs some TLC. Or just a good beating with the technology hammer.

I totally agree. Toast
