Danimal R.I.P. Danimal. Your videos inspired and educated me when I first started Muvizu. They will live on in the cloud.

20/08/15 reelase feedback Hi Brian, I have Intel Graphics as well. DirectX no longer appears in the options menu but you're right... layers do appear to be available. Thanks for the advice, some further testing here is required.

Did you try the DX9 switch to force it to open? Brian Gray posted this earlier :

1. Right click on desktop icon
2. Select Properties
3. Edit "Target" Command Line
4. at end on line just add -dx9
5. Click save then Ok button

SAMPLE: "C:\Program Files\Muvizu Play\Binaries64\Muvizu.exe" -dx9

Thanks Ziggy, that's at least got it loading but now I have no access to dx11 which before July I did so it is still broken if I want to use dx11. I know my machine and graphics card are perfectly capable of doing this as I had no problem before recent updates. I hope the devs can sort this soon as it's rather annoying.

4/8/15 Release Bugs I've just changed the July version to DX11 and you're right.... It crashed on startup, same as before. So that's the problem methinks.

EDIT: I suppose I'll have to re-install it again now. Duhh

The August release should be using DX11 as the default now. Are you using DX11 on the version that works?

Aha, I'll test that asap and get back to you.

We've had several reports of Muvizu not running after a windows 10 update. I'm still looking into what is going on.

Woz - are you running DX9 or 11 in the July version?

it was set to DX11, it was weird, one day it worked and the next day crash on startup. The August version that wouldn't work was on DX9 ( the default ), I didn't even get a chance to change it.

EDIT: I did a DirectX and Visual C repair/install as well.

4/8/15 Release Bugs Hi everybody, I've just recently returned to Muvizu after rebuilding my life. I upgraded to the July version in July and then upgraded my PC to Windows 10 on 1/8/15.

Muvizu worked for a day or two and then would not load any more, giving me this screen.....

I downloaded the 4/8 version from the website, uninstalled and did a fresh install. I got the same problem. I've rolled back to the July version with again a clean install and re-entered my product key. For now it seems to be working although this was only last night so I haven't had a chance to check much. Just wondered if it was me, Muvizu, Windows 10 or a combination of all three?

i3, 4GB ram, Win 10 Home, Intel (R) HD Graphics.

Take a look at this... Fantastic example of a good animated short film to convey a message...

Transparent AVI? I did this a while ago. It's just a rough sketch to test the concept. Scrolling backdrop and camera shake...

Creating a video--verrrry slow!! The trick with waiting for a video to render is to go and do something else while you wait. Big Grin

New characters and animations All of the above plus ( and preferably first ).....

A phone loop might be nice as well. No pick up/drop just holding the phone to the ear.

Hold object one handed.

Drink from bottle.

Stick fingers in ears or cover ears to block sound.

Suck thumb like a baby.

"Thinker" pose.

Artist painting standing up.

Before you run out of sticky notes if any of these can be done with existing actions and I've just missed them please let me know.

Edit Muvizu AVI files in Sony Vegas The .AVI problem. It's a bit like the measurement problem in Physics. Big Grin

Edit Muvizu AVI files in Sony Vegas Agreed, it's horses for courses. I got so fed up with codecs that in the end I opted for still images. It also enables you to mess around with them in a graphics program prior to editing. Saves having to do screenshots as well. So basically I'm saying I'm bone idle. Big Grin

you mean the wav file is part of each tga? I have not seen this but must try it. I assumed that the wav file was seperate but perhaps I am wrong since in muvizu I dont use tga (no point really as my logitech codec makes me happy)

It is a separate file.

I really can't see why people have difficulties with this way of working. Once in Vegas it's the same as any video clip, video track and sound track. Have you ever tried to edit an Xvid in Vegas? Impossible. The less encoding and decoding performed on the initial render the better imho.

Woz - In Vegas can you group them into one clip rather than have 100 clips of 1 frame each - this is what I find annoying about TGA, that and the fact that it trashes the Project Media list.

I thought that's what I said. Select "open as still image sequence". I sometimes forget to check the box and have to redo it. That's a pain I know but the media list is ok if you import it as a sequence. Makes it tidier if you rename them.

as woztoons says you can render the entire 20 minute clip as targa sequence however many people find this to be not what they want because they want to preserver sound or something)

A TGA sequence render also produces a .WAV sound file which can be imported into Vegas in the normal way. There is nothing else to preserve. Once in Vegas it is just like any other clip.
