Just want to say HELLO and to introduce myself to you all.

My name is Carole and I've just joined the Muvizu team working to help spread the news about our great software, the awesome animations you guys are producing using it and to help the team share new developments as they crop up over the coming months.

I've heard really good things about this community and really look forward to getting to know you all better.

Be nice if some of you can pop by and introduce yourself and tell me just a little about how you've been using Muvizu.

Hi Carole, welcome to the asylum.

My name is John ( 49 male ) and I am a Muvizuholic.
For any further details about me I suggest you ask around the office as I was at the Muvizu PLAY launch and I'm sure someone was sober enough to remember me.

I am currently working on a couple of projects, one is a music video for a songwriter who had some success and radio plays with the track and is now looking to revive it. It was even featured in the Sun newspaper.

The other project is Dragonton, ( my baby ), best described as a cross/spoof of Futurama and Lord of the Rings although nothing like either really. It will be a series of 15-30 minute episodes that I am doing all the work for myself, ( apart from a few selected assets ), from writing to finished movie. I may need to cast some voice actors when I finally finish the script for episode one and have all the locations built and ready.

I also occasionally upload one off clips on anything I feel like animating.

I hope you enjoy your time at Muvizu and wish you good luck and many laughs.

Hi Carole!
Welcome to the community! I am MrDrWho13, and found out about Muvizu with the BBC Click thing a few years ago. I have watched it grow from 0.16b and now we have version 1.0 (or 1.5 or whatever it is now with all the patches!).
Keep an eye out for the moguls, and those who went to the Muvizu:Play pre-launch party. (I also attended, so just ask around the office for more info about me)
My Muvizu work includes some Muvizu re-makes of youtube hits (such as the ASDF series) and the Uzivum Movies which have input (both scrips and voices) from many people from the community here.

I hope you enjoy working at Muvizu and am looking forward to hearing more about you and your input to Muvizu.

Good to 'meet' you John and Mr Dr. Who13.

I was also at the PLAY launch though didn't realise them I was going to become part of the team so I may have met some of you in person.

It'll take me a while to get familiar with all your users names and content but how lucky do I feel to be involved with such an exciting and potentially industry changing technology. Will take a look at some of your work tonight.

Welcome Carole Toast Glad you popped in and said Hi! I have to agree we do have a pretty great community.

You won't find me posting much in the forums. I usually save that for when I really have something to add. Love Muvizu I have some projects in the works. It is amazing at what some of the users have made and the extent of some of the projects they are working on.

I wish you luck on your new adventure here, and look forward to hearing from you more as you get use to everyone.

Hi there

welcome to our forums. I post lots mostly to answer questions may you enjoy your time at muvizu.

-edit in afterwards (for a postaholic my post is the shortest what gives?) -

how I use muvizuzu;

I make superman videos using public domain radio recordings and some other odd things when the mood hits me. I spend I think more time building the sets -as I insist on making most of my own props etc - then I do I think working on the actual animating usually 4-8 weeks making sets and 2 weeks max animating and then another week or half a week doing the video editing and sound work.

okay now my post is a respectable length Big Grin

Welcome Carole! I hope your journey through Muvizuland is a long and happy one! I've been using Muvizu for about 3 years now and during that time have created a variety of things with it. I tend to like to animate "quick jokes" and such but also like to make musical "rock videos" from time to time.

Danimal, a fellow Muvizuer and I are currently working on an ongoing animated series of a small time garage band always trying to make it to the "big time". It's called The Garage Band Blues and the first several episodes are in the gallery if you care to have a look. Here lately I've been creating things for ZuboxTV and working on a few other projects so I keep pretty busy "Muvizuing".

Again, welcome to Muvizuland!

I'm Ziggy72, and I've been on Muvizu for 3 years now.
<group gives sympathy>
It started, like with some of the others, seeing this strange little program on Click on the BBC. I thought I'd try it, y'know, to see what the kids were going on about. It seemed fun at first, just a nice little program to make animations, all pleasant and entertaining... I never thought I'd get addicted, but after that first hit, wow, that was it, I was in, I couldn't stop. I spend hours every day, sometimes for weeks on end, making stuff, editing stuff, drawing stuff, just to feed the habit. I thought I could quit anytime, it was just a bit of fun, I could handle it...but now I'm mainlining a half hour movie, dragging other addicts into my circle of depravity and serial killers. Carole, I need help.

Hi Carole!

I'm sure you will have a great time at Muvizu.
I have been lucky enough to visit Muvizu HQ a few times now, including the Muvizu Play launch where I met yourself (as did Woz and MrDrWho) and it seems like a cool and fun place to work.

With Muvizu I have created quite a few comedy sketches, a sitcom based on my experiences from working as a firefighter and a number of video tutorials.

I also hang around the forum answering questions (where I can!) and I try to make suggestions for improvement/feature requests wherever possible too! (one has just sprung to mind actually!...(mental note for later!))

I love Muvizu for the speed it enables me to produce quality 3d animations that I can share with others. No other program comes close in my eyes.

Good Luck with your mission of spreading the Muvizu name out there in the wild! I'm sure myself and the rest of the community will help you with the crusade wherever and whenever we can!

Cheers
D

<Waving enthusiastically to all!>

Thanks for the warm welcome. It's great to get a bit more on some of your stories too.

If/when I do my job right we should see some new voices appearing on the forums soon and it's reassuring to know there's such a solid base of users who love animation and are willing to support others as they discover the joy of Muvizu.

See you all 'around'!

Welcome Carole and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun working with the Muvizu team.

I was also at the Muvizu Play launch and you may have seen the presentation of the project that we're working on - "Beware the Eye of Amun-Ra". It should be ready, well, we're working really hard on it......

I generally like to work on longer projects - you may want to sit through the whole of "Beware the Pie" to understand the horror of what that means. But it certainly means my output is very limited.

Last but not least, a warm welcome also from tripfreak !

I have to admit that I'm rather snatchy here...
Nevertheless, at least it seems that I'm the most active german member in this forum.

I haven't done that much "Muvids" because in Germany we are very limited by the GEMA for the things I wanted to do (not only with Muvizu) and especially on Youtube. Even certain Muvizu videos are not watchable because they contain music or "certain history content"... (look at the link).

So, I use Muvizu most of the time to annoy my colleagues at work...

CU for sure later here,
tripfreak
