Commercial Productions I can see Muvizu being used to create commercial productions. Given some of the work already produced with the software I see no reason why it can't be done. There are some very talented people using Muvizu and if a few of them got together (hint hint) who knows what would happen?

Yes, Muvizu does have a few "shortcomings" at the present point in time but it is still powerful enough to do a commercial product IMHO.

Camera Path As far as I know there is no option to have a camera follow a specific path yet. (hint hint)

Where is the "Dreeko-Signal" when you need it?

PICTURES! I was curious about this as well so I tried it. I found where it saved the file. Go to the directory where you have Muvizi installed on your system. In my case its C:\Muvizu.

In the Muvizu directory you'll see another directory called \MuvizuGame\.

In that directory there is a directory called \ScreenShots.

That's where I found the screen captures I made.

\Muvizu\MuvizuGame\ScreenShots\

Hope this helps. It worked for me...

Garage Band Blues... Wow... I never thought my video would cause this much fuss! I am grateful that everyone seems to appreciate my creations. Thank you!

To pyrrho: Yes, Muzizu is one of the easiest pieces of 3d animation software I've ever used to be able to rework an animation and have the changes rendered out so fast. It took me maybe 20 minutes to make the changes I wanted and another few minutes to have the complete final video rendered. Unheard of with a LOT of other software.

To Toonarama: You are absolutely right. This aspect of the software should be made more widely known. I remember back in the "old days" when I was using "brand - X" software that if I wanted to make even the smallest changes to an animation it would take many hours if not days to get a final render. I like being able to see "instant results" with Muvizu.

To Quoling: I just uploaded the stage set I used for the Quo animation. I built the set using all of the props that already come with Muvizu. I was too lazy to design my own so I "made do" with what was already available. I hope you enjoy using it.

To Emily: That's really cool! I couldn't have done it without Muvizu though!

To Dreeko: Yes, being able to group the crowd together would have made things much easier. You seem to be on top of things when it comes to handling suggestions so I'm going to leave that to you and the team at Muvizu. I'm sure that the Dreeko-Signal gets quite a workout! Better keep the Dreekomobile fired up and ready!

Again, thank you everyone for all of your great comments. Knowing that people enjoy my creations inspires me to want to do more. If I can be of any help to anyone by all means feel free to contact me anytime.

Now, I have work to do on the next Garage band Blues video. Cheers everyone!

Garage Band Blues... Thanks to Quoling's keen eye for detail I have redone the video so that you can now see not only the lead singer wailing away but the other band members singing backup vocals as well. I think it adds to the video nicely.

Here's the link to the updated video:

Thanks again Quoling!

Garage Band Blues... Thank you for the kind remarks everyone, I'm glad you enjoy my creations. I was kind of re-living the "old days" with this video. Back in the 80's I used to be in a band and we actually played this song in bars and clubs. Back then our light show sucked, this time I got to do it MY way. LOL

Toonarama, the clip is all Muvizu. I used other software for the titles and credits but the actions, movements and timing was done entirely in Muvizu. You can do a LOT with just the built in actions if combined together creatively.

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to make this into an ongoing series or not but judging by the response I may have to come up with a few more videos. Again, thanks for all of the kind remarks everyone, they are greatly appreciated.

Really nice video - although there is noone singing the backing vocals! ;O) - look forward to the continuing adventures...how about the next video being a "practise" in a garage!

I can't believe I left out the background vocals! I got so wrapped up with getting the other animations and lights correct that it just slipped my mind. I'll have to fix that. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
I used to be in a lot of "garage bands" in my day, (bass player) that's what inspired me to do a series about a small band trying to hit it big.
I'm happy that you guys like what I have done thus far, your comments are greatly appreciated.

Or unless you used the 64bit version of Muvizu. (cough cough)

Haha. Unfortunately 64-bit won't make everything magically faster. Some things may be a little bit quicker, but when you're stuck with rendering bottlenecks you're stuck with rendering bottlenecks.

I remember making the switch from 8-bit to 16-bit processors and being massively underwhelmed at the speed difference. Same actually when 32-bit came in. Oh no! I've just realised how old I actually am.

I have a great computer for using Muvizu (Thanks to team Muvizu). I5 Quad core, Great graphics card and plenty of ram. I was actually wanting to be able to use all of the memory my kit has (12 gigs). I have a habit of making some fairly complex scenes that seem to eat up the available memory of the current release of Muvizu rather quickly.
I figured with the 64 bit version I'll be able to add just about anything I want to the scenes without getting the "low memory" message. I too remember making the switch from 8-bit to 16-bit processors and then to 32-bits. (sigh) I think I'm old too!

I suspect in general it would be a great laptop and would hold up for most usage of Muvizu. However, sooner or later on any machine a scene will become too complex and it will start to "chug" a bit (especially if you're chucking in loads of lights and fog and things like that.)

Or unless you used the 64bit version of Muvizu. (cough cough)

I know you guys are working your butts off, just having a bit of fun.
